The ACADEMIC PIPELINE PROJECT provides access to research opportunities and internships nationwide. This resource is informed by the THRIVE Index which contextualizes and provides best practices of each program into comparable and quantifiable frameworks for all users. Our interactive database allows users to locate programs that match their specific interests and level (precollegiate, collegiate, graduate, postdoctoral, faculty) along their career journey.The THRIVE INDEX is an assessment tool for Academic Pipeline Programs.


Below are the components of THRIVE.

Type (T) Where it falls in the pipeline structure
History(H) Context, milestones, longevity, educational outcomes
Research (R) Research preparation and program components
Identity/Inclusion (I) use of these programs to create an inclusive environment & build identity for program participants
Voice (V) how each program creates a positive environment for students to enhance their voice
Expectations(E) Expectations illustrate the evaluative components of initiatives, providing outcomes and results of programming
